What a gift actually pays for
Because our animals live in volunteer homes, we do not pay for kennels or cages. Gifts go to veterinary care and supplies — the unglamorous line items that decide whether we can say yes to the next animal.
- Spay and neuter surgeries, booked before an animal is ever listed.
- Vaccines, dewormer and the occasional very expensive dental.
- Microchips, registered to the adopter before they drive away.
- Crates, litter, leashes and food dropped at foster homes.
- Gas money for the volunteers who drive at odd hours.

A week of kibble
Keeps a foster household stocked so nobody has to choose between groceries and dog food.

Covers an exam, vaccines and the dewormer that nearly every new arrival needs.

The single biggest reason we can keep taking animals in. Book one for a cat or a dog.
A month of foster supplies
Crate, bedding, litter, leash and the odd chew toy for one foster home for a month.

Mail a check
Made out to the rescue and posted to our West 38th Avenue address. Add a note if you would like it earmarked for vet care.
Employer matching
Plenty of Denver employers match staff donations. Ask your HR team for the form and send it our way — we will fill in our part.
Send supplies
Our wishlist changes with the season: crates, kitten formula, martingale collars, unopened food. Drop-offs are welcome during office hours.
Give monthly
A small recurring gift is the one that lets us book surgeries ahead instead of scrambling.
Receipts, records and the fine print
Every online gift gets an emailed receipt straight away. For mailed checks or in-kind donations, send us a note and we will write one for your records.
The rescue is a registered nonprofit; donations may be tax-deductible where allowed by law. Please check with your tax adviser about your own situation.
