We are a foster-based rescue — no kennels, no concrete runs. Every dog and cat here waits on somebody’s couch until the right person walks in. Come meet them this weekend, or become the couch.

How rescue works here
Three steps, and a lot of dog hair in between
Nobody at the rescue has an office. What we have is a network of spare rooms, a vet on speed dial and a very organised group chat.

Foster
An animal comes out of a shelter, a street or a hard situation and goes straight into a volunteer’s spare room.

Care
Vet visit, vaccines, spay or neuter, a microchip and a name — plus however many quiet weeks it takes to feel safe.

Adopt
You meet them in a normal living room at a normal volume, and you both decide together.

Adoption Day on West 38th
Six or seven fosters bring their animals, we set up pens on the lot, and there is usually a folding table of lemonade. Applications get reviewed on the spot, so come with your questions and your household’s decision-maker.
Fostering
Could your couch hold one more?
Fostering is the only reason this rescue can say yes to an animal. It is also less complicated than most people assume — here is the honest version.
- We pay for food, crate, litter and every vet visit.
- You choose the animal, the size and the timing — every single time.
- Two weeks is a real foster stay. So is six months.
- If you fall in love, you get first refusal. It happens constantly.

Every couch has room for one more.
Come by on a weekend, foster for a fortnight, or send a gift that buys a spay appointment. All three end the same way: an animal on a warm cushion.
